Description
Michael Leunig is an Australian cartoonist, writer, painter, philosopher and poet. He was born in East Melbourne in June 1945.
His commentary on political, cultural and emotional life spans more than fifty years and has often explored the idea of an innocent and sacred personal world.
His best known works include “The Adventures of Vasco Pyjama and the Curly Flats” series of book compilations of his cartoons. He was declared an Australian Living Treasure by the National Trust of Australia in 1999.
